Description: 

Kids will learn the fundamentals of the world wide web through stories & fun activities. 

In this camp, students will cover the following topics over the course of four lessons.

• Case study & Problem Solving - Helping Aj connect to the internet.

• Understanding how websites are made available to the world. Together we will understand how the website is built by a software engineer, and how it is stored/ hosted on a server at a datacenter. 

• Exercises include - word search on www key concepts, etc

• Understanding the key terms of the www. This will include interactive activity such as using the browser to create book marks and sending emails.

• Understanding IP Addressing, domain hosting and Protocols to identify websites and how they communicate with the user over the network. 

• Creating websites using HTML, CSS and Javascript using Scratch.

Please note: A child must have a working laptop connected to the internet for this bootcamp. Instructions on how to download the various tools will be provided before the bootcamp.
